Welcome to Willow class

We are a class of Year 2 and Year 3 children who love learning. This summer term, we will be reading the book 'A Bear called Paddington' by Michael Bond as part of our English and Geography lessons. The children will be learning the seven continents and five oceans, the tropics, equator, capitals of the UK and the differences between London and Lima (Peru).  In Art and D/T the children will be developing their sewing skills by making a pouch and practising their drawing and painting skills. In Science, we will be investigating what plants and flowers need to grow.

P.E will be on Mondays (rounders)and Wednesdays (tennis) this half-term.  Children are to come to school wearing their PE kit and earrings are to be taken out before school if children are unable to take them out. 

Please try and read with your child every day and ask them questions about what they have read and sign their reading record so that they can enter the Reading Raffle which takes place on Mondays.  All children who read four times or more will receive a star. If their name is pulled out, they get a chance to choose something from the golden box. 

New spellings will be given out on a Friday and tested the following Friday. Spellings are available on this page along with the creative curriculum homework.

Dates for Creative Curriculum homework to be shown in class are: Wednesday 29th April, Wednesday 20th May, Wednesday 10th June and Wednesday 8th July.

The multi-sports festival will take place on Wednesday 6th May 2026 at Harrold Primary School.

Our class trip to Everdon Outdoor Learning centre is on Tuesday 2nd June 2026.
