Welcome to Juniper Class!

Welcome back to a fantastic Summer Term. This term our topic is Nurturing Nature where we will be focusing on volcanoes, rivers, mountains, climate change and pollution in these areas. In Science, we will be looking at plants, flowers and living things.

The children will also be taking part in 5 Forest School sessions. Please make sure the children come to school in their forest school clothes and bring their uniform in a separate bag to get changed into on these following dates: 17 April, 1 May, 15 May, 19 June and 1 July.

Juniper class will also take part in a Multi-Sports Festival at Harrold Primary School on Wednesday 8 May.

We are looking forward to the children taking part in our residential trip to the Frontier Centre on 5 - 7 June. Look out for important information regarding their kit list, dietary requirements, updated medical information, activities that the children will be taking part in and sleeping arrangements. Also, in the second half of the term, the children will take part in a field trip in the local area.

This term, PE lessons will take place on Mondays and Fridays. Please make sure the children have outdoor and indoor PE kit and a change of footwear. All P.E kit is to stay in school and all items must be named. All long hair is to be tied back and if your child wears earrings, these will need to be taken out or covered with tape.

Spellings will be given out on a Monday and tested the following Monday.

We will be practising times tables every day but extra practice at home will really help your child to progress.  There are daily sheets below which can be printed out or your child could use TTRockstars to practice online.

Creative curriculum homework is linked to our topic - please see the link below.

Children will also be expected to complete Maths' homework which will focus on the written methods for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. This will be set on Thursdays and children to complete and be handed in the following Thursday and marked with the class.

Below you will see the Year 3 and 4 end of year expectations, creative curriculum homework, along with the lists of words children are expected to be able to read and spell by the end of the year.
